Unique Patterns

Sometimes a particular item, such as Genji's Glove, the Jeweled Box,
Ashura, or Ring of Light will require a uniqe pattern for it to be
crafted.  These patterns are not consumed in the process, but are
usually required to craft these inter-disciplinary items.

Additionally, the difficulty of crafting such items can take months
due to the complexity of the pattern.  It is advised that these
items be crafted over the timespan of the winter months so to avoid
complications that a caravan would provide.  Also, multiple crafters
of the same school can assist in the crafting of these items,
shortening the creation time.
